The primary purpose of the St. Aloysius (St. Al’s) Men’s Society is to promote fellowship among all men of the parish. To promote fellowship, we pursue social activities such as golf outings, bowling, trips to various destinations and periodic luncheons.
The society also initiates and participates in work projects that benefit all segments of our parish. We hold regular monthly meetings where we gather for a meal and discuss parish needs. To support our projects and the needs of our parish, we raise money via our annual Lenten fish fry’s.
Examples of past works include: - Summer and Fall festival setup, execution and cleanup - Construction and maintenance of the garage and pavilion - Procurement, maintenance and operation of kitchen equipment - Enhancing church grounds (planting grass seed, removing trees, etc.) - Financial support of other St. Stephen parish needs (e.g. St. Joe school projects and St. Joe church capital project) - Financial support of the Little Sisters of Mary Immaculate and St. Vincent de Paul - Other causes as identified by our membership throughout the year.
All men of the parish are welcome to join in our support of St. Al’s and the St. Stephen family of parishes. Whether you attend our monthly meetings, attend a social event, or donate a few hours of your time to work at our fish fry’s, festivals or parish work projects, we promise you a rewarding experience as you get to know other men of the parish.
